I’m not sure if I stumbled in to some weird niche meme tonight but this westler video from the game Beat the Beat (UK name) sure has caught some peoples weird imagination on YouTube…
…and they don’t stop…
…until it just gets a little weird.
What I did fail to find was any 10 hour loop video of the repetitive audio track.
Just heard DJ Rashad’s “It’s Not Right” on BBC Radio 1 in the afternoon. Check the video of the tune. It’s a load of irritating crap with the high-speed percussion. It’s a new dance music style known as “juke and footwork” from Chicago. Think it’s best it stays over in Chicago to be honest.
Want more - there’s a full mix of this crap on XLR8R - I enjoyed the comments more. “is like 6hrs of liquid shit being slowly poured on you. Cold, liquid shit.”
So with an open mind I spent the evening trying to appreciate House music. After listening to the Pacha Ibiza Summer 2010 compilation I now know House music as a genre is overall a big bag of ass.
I think I’ll stick to anything other than House music in the future.
Not content with Going To Ibiza in 1999, European cheese merchants The Vengaboys are now suggesting a rocket to Uranus will take us to a better place.
Crap 70s sounding Euro-pop music aside, I thought it was good to see 3D music videos (aka 3DD “Vengavision” here) on YouTube. The Vengaboys have been kind enough to provide two versions of their “Rocket to Uranus” video, depending on your 3D display options.
Swedish House Mafia’s UK chart release “One (Your Name)” has been catching my attention or the past couple of weeks, mainly for the great use of the unreleased OP-1 pocket synth gadget at the start.
Even non musicians have got to love this amazin’ bit of audio kit for pottering about on! The UI display with its vector graphics is schweet, it’s almost Apple like hardware.
The OP-1 features list includes everything an audio gadget fiddler could need to get going.
